Sunday, February 4, 2024 - La Festa del Barolo Masterclass (The Pool, NYC): The '15 Crichet Paje was the wine of the tasting that blew me away. Haunting aromatics of sweet red berry fruit and red florals w/ iron, smoke, and a hint of leather, a perfect combo of fruit & savory characteristics. Such a pretty wine with incredible sweetness on the palate, very fine grained tannins that are already integrating nicely, medium high acidity. Perfectly balanced. Seems like you could easily drink a bottle of this today, and my only question is if it will get better with age.
