Sunday, July 23, 2023 - 1/1, vg cork, decanted 1/2 hr. Deep garnet core, very narrow pale garnet rim. Nose is rich, with blackcurrant, hint of chocolate, some development here too with earth and tobacco in particular, some meaty notes. Full bodied, rich dark fruit, touch of chocolate again, soil, soft tannins, attractve balancing fresh acdiity, long, harmoniouis finish with just a touch of herb. This is lovely and drinking well, though there's no hurry to drink up - to at least 2030.
