Sunday, July 25, 2021 - Decanted off sediment, then consumed over the next two hours. Pretty nose of black fruit and earth. Medium weight, structure relaxed, good balance of fruit and acidity. The real treat here is the texture: the tannins are incredibly silky and refined. Not especially rich or powerful, esp. for a 99 from this terroir. But oh so elegant. Not much reason to wait based on this example.
