Saturday, December 9, 2023 - Medium-dark red. Pronounced vanilla (from oak) plus pepper, dried plums and berry preserves on the nose, all of which carry over to the taste. There is a slightly sweet flavor profile from both the oak and the fruit, modest acids and dusty tannins with an alcohol push in the finish. For those who don't mind the tannins, it is enjoyable now. Yet it will definitely keep for a decade, perhaps more.
