Monday, August 4, 2008 - Decanted for 1.5 hours. Nnose of blueberry, plum, and cherry. Nice attack of fruit but not the overpowering New World style I expected. Mid palate had the earthy and pepper taste that I was hoping for and the finish was fairly long and smooth transitioning from fruit to chocolate to vanilla. The tannins were evident on the back of the mouth but not harsh at all. This is a fantastic value at around $12.00 and I will certainly be buying more. It paired wonderfully with the morrocan seasoned lamb dish we had.
