Tuesday, December 26, 2023 - Deep purple color. Notes of dark cherries, some dark plum, some brighter fruit too, tobacco leaf, sweet spices, some vanilla, also some herbal/flowery notes and smoke, maybe also some black tea. It's pretty full-bodied, with medium-high tannin that is very good quality, also some pretty high acidity providing freshness. Long finish. An excellent wine that will probably age nicely for the next 10 years or so and a testament to what this grape is able of in VA. Always one of the highlight in the range of this producer.
