Sunday, July 21, 2013 - Medium ruby color with a pink rim. The purity on the nose is breathtaking - cherries, pomegranate, and spicy French oak. It smells like a barrel room and transports me back to many visits to Sonoma. The palate is packed with pure red cherry, pomegranate, spice, and earth. There is solid acidity in this medium-bodied wine, and the mouthfeel is refined and silky. The finish is packed with red fruits and has very good length. Overall, this has pure red fruit, great refinement, and seems to have at least 3 - 5 more years left.
