Tuesday, October 22, 2019 - In the mid-90's I bought a bunch of Bolgheri wines. As my interest in Italian wines increased, I only wanted to drink wine made from the indiginous varitals, leaving the Bolgheris languishing in my cellar.
Last night I opened the subject wine, and it was marvelous. Dark fruit with an unusual spiciness that we all enjoyed. The wine is hitting its stride and seems to reflect the Bolgheri terroir in that it would not be mistaken for a Claret.
