Thursday, March 13, 2008 - Dark ruby red. The nose is not giving much at all. A little raspberry and oak. On the palate, the oak is very prominent, followed by a squirt of sweet raspberry on a background of leather and hint of black licorice. The tannins are very firm and astringent. It's a bit primal now, but with the structure and the fruit, I think this may come together nicely in a couple of years.
