Wednesday, March 20, 2024 - Notes from second day. I'm kind of with Ponuppy on this. The fruit is fairly ripe and forward (especially on day one), so it didn't strike me as classic Bordeaux. But it has better balance on day two and the ripe fruit has receded some. There's some nice cassis and underlying herbal notes. It has good structure and is attractively priced at $15, but while I'm tempted to buy a couple of bottles and leave them for a couple of years, I'm also wondering if there'll be that much of a reward on cellaring.
