Friday, August 31, 2012 - Lighter red wine (like Pinot should be). Aromas of red cherry, mushroom, black truffle, sulphur, soft oak, cola, maple, and minerals. First thing you notice is an incredible mouth feel from deft balance. The palate is soft yet lively with fresh tannins. The tannins are elegant that fit nicely with checked alcohol. If you like California Pinots than you'll love this wine. This wine fits like a glove, and I wish I had six more to follow it over the next decade.
