Saturday, September 18, 2021 - The 1989 Pape Clément is showing beautifully, offering up aromas of plummy red fruits mingled with cigar box, sweet spices and hints of loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with ripe acids and powdery tannins underpinning its expansive core of fruit. This is drinking very well today.
