Saturday, April 20, 2024 - PnP, drank over a six hour window for Mrs. Chugwine's 36th birthday celebration, side by side with a 2018 Ultramarine and 2008 Salmon. This was the best bottle, everything was settled and in balance. Perfect amount of mousse (more than I expected), notes of pie crust, graham cracker, light cinammon. Coating of the mouth on the palette with good acidity. Long finish. This is a great example of what aged champagne can be. The key is finding bottles that are stored properly, the trickiest with Champagne. Not your everday drinker, but will shine bright on those special occassions!
