Thursday, June 8, 2017 - Very earthy wine. Nose is all earth and funk. As other tasters have noted, this bottle was not thin or watery, but in the medium body spectrum with decent weight. Flavors were predominantly earthy clay, but not exactly unpleasant, with cherry emerging mid-palate before more terroir dominates the finish. The earth components were balanced much better with food, duck confit with Bing cherry demi-glacé in particular, not as good on its own. Mature, drink soon before the rest of the fruit fades.
