Monday, August 13, 2018 - Jaboulet Hermitage La Chapelle Dinner (1978, '82, '83, '85, '88, '90, '95, '97, '98, '99, 09) (Taberna, Bukit Merah): From a magnum, this was a nice start to the night. It had a nice creamy nose, with notes of brioche and butter lined with touches of white fruit and a lift of steely minerality. A very classic BdB nose. The palate was nicely shaped, with a fresh and still lively mousse and bright acidity shaping its white fruited flavours fringed with citrussy lemon notes. A nice polished wine, this was a marriage of power with some balance and focus, this was enjoyable and still has some time to go as well. Good.
