Friday, February 3, 2023 - LLM blind tasting dinner. The 2006 CDR and CSD were shown as a pair next to each other. Both showed well but the 2006 CSD clearly had the edge (95+pt). Wonderful Vosne spice nose with violets, wet forest floor. Airy palate, soft tannins. The 2006 CDR (93pt) was much more brooding and structured. It felt as it needed some more time or may be the tannins were just too dry. Decent, but the weakest Grand Cru tonight.
