Saturday, April 8, 2023 - Darker ruby color. Nose of deep seated musky berry, rocky soil, violets, plum blossom. On the palate an initial hit of elegantly textured red berry and Bing cherry fruit undergirded by iron and fine earth. Remained restrained and somewhat imploded throughout the night. Ample acidity and firm but smoothed tannin. Moderate length finish of iron and firm red fruit. A very excellent wine to be sure but not giving much on this showing.
