Sunday, April 28, 2024 - Nose: Cassis, dusting of cocoa. Palate: Tart sour red cherry, slight tangyness, red currant, tannins coat the gums yet feel dissonant against the lighter medium overall body of the wine. Nice sweet cherry on the finish. Given more time to open up, the tangyness is replaced with smokey cranberry. Definitely an affordable bottle for the region ($20), but its flavor simplicity and lack concentration makes it feel like your'e getting what you pay for and nothing more.
