Friday, January 26, 2024 - Rieslingfan visits Albany; 1/26/2024-1/27/2024 (Châteauneuf-du-Salil, Albany): Lot 12, disgorged Feb 2016. A deep coppery-pink color, and a wow wine from the first sip to the last. A savoury, incredibly brioche-y and toasty nose with a little oxidation, and bright citrus and strawberry fruit beneath. The balance and depth here are incredible, and this is a joy to drink over a few hours.
