Tuesday, September 17, 2019 - We opened this on the follow of 3 badly premoxed Leflaive grand crus and delivered the uplifting in spirit we needed. Nicol tried this blind went straight for Cab Sauv from Napa but guessed around 10yrs younger. And in this lies the greatness of this wine it is still fresh and vibrant.
Evolved for sure with solid secondary profile on the noise, leather, earthy under tone ( The nose is to die for here) but with a nice healthy dark fruited note and of course a peppery/ herby touch. The palate is very much alive and frankly this has easily another 10yrs in the tank but its just delicious now if like us one is a lover of well matured Napa elegance. 95 + and must buy more
