Sunday, April 26, 2009 - Perfect summer wine. Those accustomed to Loire Valley chenin blanc will find this surprisingly bracing; it's got the variety's typical apple flavors, but they're on the racier, green-apple side of the spectrum. In fact I couldn't help but wonder whether this juice might've made a nice Champagne-method wine. Great purity and brightness to the fruit but also nervosity. The attack is acute and tensile.
