Sunday, August 29, 2021 - We recently acquired quite a few of these bottles as part of a much larger cellar contents purchase. This 2nd bottle even better then the 1st and we really had no expectations for this wine at all. An easy 91+ tonight despite 26 years of age - opened up much earlier then the 1st bottle and run through a filter / aerator. Really excellent given the price and relatively low end producer. Very soft with oak and tannins all gone so need to drink up any remaining holdings in the next 1-2 years max. Soft dark nose with a surprisingly herbacious initial palate and then dark fruit and cloves pop in. Medium length aftertaste.
