Friday, November 13, 2020 - This wine is going strong and developing nicely. It has clearly improved in its drinkability compared to previous notes, coming into a good drinking window now. It shows some fiery acidity, and some elevated alcohol, but is balanced by the ripeness of the fruit and the tannic depth of the grapes. The wine displays a welcoming nose of dark ripe red fruits, earth elements, and wood. In the mouth it provides a powerful punch. It is not yet as mellow and smooth as it smells. It is a welcome find on the store shelf 14 years after the vintage! Could go on to improve...
