Thursday, June 7, 2018 - This is really in a great spot right now. Scents of smoke, black licorice, bacon fat, blackberries, and well seasoned oak. On the palate noted of char, blueberries, clove, and spice linger with tannin that's still mildly astringent and leaving me with the impression that this is a wine that still has time to age gracefully. Excellent - Outstanding. Medium body, medium acidity, med+ tannin, and a but of depth and balance that keeps it interesting with 2+ hours in the decanter.
