Friday, April 8, 2011 - Dark red-purple color. Youthful nose shows a fair bit of oak at this stage, but also spicy, earthy, and graphite notes that stand up to the ripe, rich fruit. In the mouth, stuffed with rich black fruit, spice, earth, and herb notes, with prominent acidity and a quite tannic finish. Needs more time to fully integrate, but this is quite good indeed. A-
