91 Points

Wednesday, November 24, 2010 - Popped and poured. Lovely medium red, transparent at the rim. At first, not much going on. I let it sit for an hour and the show begins. Smells of damp earth with some sour cherries. In the mouth, there is a lot going on with subtleties and nuances wrapped in and around the cherry fruit. At certain moments there are hints of flowers and finishes with a hint of XO cognac. Complex and long. This is a fairly cerebral Chianti. Tannins are certainly present and this wine should drink well for several years to come.
