Wednesday, October 26, 2011 - If Starbursts made a black cherry sweet, this would be it. Bags of juicy black cherry fruit, nudged along by a rip roaring acidity, giving rise to a very silky smooth mouthfeel. Everything is nicely in balance. There some interesting notes of coffee, chocolate and a whiff of earth. Very drinkable Chianti. Just a little short on the finish preventing it from being a 90 pointer. Very much in its prime right now.
