Wednesday, August 19, 2015 - Dark ruby red in colour with a clear rim evident. How many more years will this lay down...no more for us, but...? Not a pnp wine. Horse manure on the nose immediately upon opening...love it!!! A bit of dark chocolate and exceedingly ripe cherry and vanilla. A bit of musty old library smells. Palate is thick with evident, but exceedingly subtle, tannins. Berry, berry cherry. We think another year max to sip. We confess to being fans of the Fisher Family. The entire "Unity" thing works for us...call us "sappy". They make consistently very good to excellent, occasionally exceptional, wines. We find too many estates make one buck chuck to excellent. To the Fisher Family, their name on a bottle seems to mean something...good on ya!!!
