Community Tasting Note

Wednesday, July 2, 2008 - Appeared rather cloudy but with good color. A beautiful, nicely balanced wine. I got a lot of brambles and earth, with lighter fruit notes above it (raspberry). Some tasters also picked up coffee or cocoa. The alcohol is noticable, but overall it is well intergrated in a graceful package. Not a blockbuster wine, and not as full bodies as I might have expected, but it was a big hit with everyone who tried it. Stood up well to the dinner bluefish with pesto.
