Friday, February 5, 2021 - 13%abv. Proper and classic left bank claret. Good to go from the start after decanting for sediment. This really sang from the glass and evolved over 4-5 hours to the end of the bottle. Notes of earth, undergrowth, cigar, mahogany, dusty libraries, red fruit, spice, pencil shavings all emerged over time. Great presence but light in the mouth and some creaminess of texture. Some welcome charm too (unlike many Bdx). Great value.
