Wednesday, November 15, 2023 - Lasted tasted 3 years ago, it mirrors my previous experience. I do feel that this is in its peak window, but the finish is still its Achille's heel. The nose is rich with cherry, red berry, and plum with hints of vanilla. The palate has excellent balance and depth, but the tannin end palate and on the finish is enamel stripping. I thought that time would address this, but 3 years have not made a difference. Unfortunately, this does not seem to following the trajectory of the L'Evangile and the Trotanoy from 1998 which continue to go from strength to strength.
