Thursday, June 18, 2009 - Spectacular Syrah Tasting at Dino's (Dino's - Washington, DC): tasted from a magnum. pitch colored. the nose is tremendous, with tones of blueberry jam, violets, cedar and some earth. on the palate, this is big, ripe and lush. so well-structured. i described this wine as the marilyn monroe of the evening. i mean, seriously, it was just so sexy. the fruit is so pure and seductive but the structure and balance are tremendous. blueberry pie, toast, pepper and earth flavors are so concentrated. i loved this wine.
