Wednesday, January 6, 2010 - Beautiful. Parker is right that this is surprisingly open. This did not shut down at all like usually happens. Nose is full of tobacco, herb, sea salt, licorice, raisin, other dried fruits, and dark cherry. Palate is dark cherry, just the right amount of pepper, black tea, licorice, and assorted dark fruits. Freshness is exuded with every sip. I agree with Parker a lot more than WS here as the palate is smooth as opposed to the gravelly taste Molesworth indicated. Drink sooner than you would anticipate, but has plently of stuffing to go for quite awhile.
