Friday, June 14, 2013 - Popped this at my son's 30th birthday dinner (upscale Italian food) in NYC. Pop 'n pour. The color was a cross between a pinot noir and a cab. Mid-weight as someone said below. A hint of a fruit nose. Smooth. Some spice. I didn't taste any jam or much red fruit. While not warm (hot) going down, this wine was warm in my mouth. It ain't no Black Sears. I know Howell Mountain has a good reputation, as does RC. I'd drink up.
