Sunday, June 13, 2021 - Have 3 of these in the cellar from an Auction purchase, so decided to check in on them.

While this is slightly behind the '07 I had last year, the '06 is holding its own and in a great place right now. While you'll have to search a bit for the darker fruit notes, this comes across as classic Left Bank Bordeaux, reminiscent of some of my faves from the region. Cigar box, leather, cedar with just enough fruit, this could be difficult to pick out if not for the fruit, which would probably be the give-away. Tannins are there and well integrated, this can easily go another 5+ years. Decanted 3 hours on day 1, and held up just as well on day 2. Enjoy!
