Wednesday, December 30, 2020 - Double decanted. Tons of leather, scorched earth, dried tobacco, dried herbs. Intensity continued to build up with aeration. Ripe red cherry and sour cherry core, a bit of char coal minerality with some fresh, minty notes underneath. l also found a bit of strawberry as well as hints of sweet spices there for a sec as well. A fresh palate with just enough flavour intensity provides for great balance. Aromatically you'll find red berry fruit leading to an earthy, mushroom-scented finish that kept going on and on. Impressively broad shouldered given the age. This started off 93-94 but had moments of excellence of 96-97, hence a 95 experience overall.
