Friday, April 17, 2009 - Outstanding....and as good as it's ever been, if not better. It's in it's prime drinking window and probably still has another 5-7 years if cellared properly. One of the best QPRs in wine....bought for $15 dollars (I should give it an even higher score for that). Medium-heavy bodied. Creamy, smooth texture, but still some tannins in the background. Well balanced, good structure, long finish. Lots of dark fruits, a touch of oak, hint of licorice, vanilla, and chocolate. Yum!
