Monday, October 18, 2010 - 67% Merlot, 18% Cab Franc, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec. Oak aged 36months, released 9/2007. I appreciate they barrel and bottle age longer than most wineries. Initialy, a bit on the dusky side, quite muted compared to last bottle. The palate is subtle and closed of. Decanted an hour showed little improvement with scents of herbs, plum, red fruits. Palate still lacks vivid tones & it is slightly flabby. Most of their wines exhibit a bit of a single-dimensional character, it's not a 'flaw', per se, but when tasting several in their line-up you'll get very similar notes from various varietals.
