Thursday, June 8, 2023 - A quasi-perfect looking bottle, popped and poured. The wine took about 5-10 minutes to settle in the glass and then boom, blastoff. A masterclass in elegance and purity. Definitely not a showy wine but one of sheer depth and utmost elegance. Profound roses, pungent strawberries, herbaceous, lavender, followed by an infusion of forest floor. Just beginning to take on secondary aromas, this still has many years of life to reach its peak.

Reminiscent of the best wines from Domaine Leroy but somehow with even more transparency. A transcendent wine. A wine for the ages. Definition of pure class. No added sulfites nor new wood here ladies and gentlemen. Best red wine of the year.
