Thursday, March 10, 2011 - Decanted for four hours. Intensifying aromas of truffles and dried raspberry formed over that period of time. Also a hint of hot pepper on the nose. Smooth, light velvety texture. The nebbiolo is not too harsh, so very drinkable, however at the same time not very bold. Again truffles fill the mouth, along with anise and cherry tart. Later, subtle hints of jolly rancher and sandalwood arose. A fairly impressive barolo.
