Sunday, January 23, 2011 - Cork in good shape, minimal soaking. Medium garnet core, pale garnet rim. Lovely perfumed, refined aroma of dark cherry fruit, distinct smokiness, mineral notes. Medium/full bodied on the palate, with laser-like clarity and precision, deep, intense black cherry fruit, same smoky notes, some meatiness on the palate too, refined, integrated tannins, fresh acidity carrying a long, cool, harmonious finish. Classy, lovely, drinking well but absolutely no hurry.
