92 Points

Tuesday, October 24, 2006 - Full ripe jammy, dark purple almost opaque. Spice, oak, vanilla, blackberry and mint. Full bodied, lengthy with sweet, fine but powerful tannin. It will be interesting to compare this against the '04 which got a WS 96 and has become a sought after wine while this one sort of languishes; but I believe they are quite similar, particularly the creamy mouth coating texture and the finish which is textbook Barossa. I think this has years ahead of it.
