Monday, April 2, 2012 - Did a vertical of the 2003 to 2007 Ridge Lytton Springs last weekend with our wine group. With the exception of the 06 & 07 all older wines were relatively close and we needed a few rounds to separate the better from the good. The 03-05 drank very nicely and quality generally followed age. Not sure if the 06&07 would get there eventually. The 07 had a distinct sulfer smell eventually wafted off after over an hour. The older wines were out of the bottle for about 30 minutes and opened up slightly over the next half hour - but not as much as I would have thought. 03 was the highlight - 92, 04 & 05 we rated 90 and 06 87 and 07 we rated 84.
