90 Points

Tuesday, October 15, 2013 - The nose showed rich raspberry jam, blueberry skins, hints of brown sugar, spice and tobacco leaf. On the palate, it was full bodied, yet showed lively acidity, which kept it focused and food friendly. Spicy dark fruits lingered on the senses with a slight bitter twang lending a grounding element to the mix. Crushed florals, bitter cherry and a hint of grapefruit remained through the medium-long finish with just a bit of resolved tannin.

This wine is in a beautiful place right now, and may improve slightly over the next few years, yet I find it very pleasurable as is.
