Tuesday, September 20, 2016 - Zachys/Mana tasting (Mana Contemporary (in Jersey City)): Tasted an HSS blind in an aged Cali tasting a few weeks ago and am just starting to get an appreciation for the amount of life in these wines. This was a complete baby. Had been opened and decanted for 2 hours and was still pretty tight. Alcohol a bit more prevalent than I would have liked (we'd just drunk a number of old world wines so more of a contrast). Mostly just not ready, but would love to sit with this in 20 years and see where it is.
