Saturday, August 12, 2017 - Quite lovely, with plenty of gas still in the tank. Medium-bodied, red-fruited, and distinctly earthy (first) and fruited (second). Aromas continued to develop throughout the night, moving from mineral/soil to red currants some two hours in. The body is medium, the tannins, very fine, and resolved; still good structure here, should last another 7-10 years if well-cellared. Really pretty eucalyptus and herb notes distinguish this beauty. Cork and fill in exc. condition. Very much in an old-school style; loved it. highly recommended
double-decanted 2 hours prior to service, but in retrospect, I could have/should have decanted this for ~ 3 hours, then returned to bottle; delicate, but not fragile.
