Thursday, April 23, 2015 - This wine is bright with black cherry, spicy with cloves and showing some earthy, mushroom aspects. As good as the attack is, the mid-palate is short. Aspects of balsamic, vanilla and cloves cover the finish in a hurry. The entire package is carried on a sturdy frame of acidity. In fact, the acidity detracts from the finish crating a somewhat harsh, unpleasant finish. 14.1% alc. With pan seared pork chops with au poivre mushroom sauce. Recommended, but leaning toward Recommended with Reservations.
