Wednesday, February 10, 2010 - Cote de Beaune 1er Cru Tasting (Casa de la Mata - Chicago IL): Tasted blind. My Wine of the Night, the group's #2. Spicy red cherry and strawberry aromas with intense spice. Almost identical on palate, with very ripe, forward fruit flavors. Once unveiled, I thought this from the riper 1999. Slightly better than another bottle I opened a couple of weeks ago.
