Thursday, April 14, 2011 - Much better than the big fruited big oaked monster I drank 2 years ago. A good mixture or red and black cherries on the nose offering up brightness, touch of creaminess and white pepper. In the mouth the fruits a touch lighter with vibrant acidity gave you red cherries and red currants. A touch of earthiness in the entry and alcohol slightly spoiled the finish initially, but in the end this dissapated. Acidity in balance with fruit, and tannins fine but still firm and very present. Definately a food wine. Close to peaking with 3 years more of enjoyment.
