NOSE: red-fruited; high-toned; ballpoint pen ink; does have some aged fruit aromas; expressive; moderate complexity.

BODY: sediment present; hazy; violet-garnet color of medium-deep depth; {forgot to note weight}

TASTE: Australian black licorice – molasses and anise; plenty of tertiary character; high acidity; hint of oak; hint of coffee; 15.2% alc. not noticeable; the Syrah and Petite Sirah are very nice here; quite impressed with how well this has aged; held-up well on Days 2 and 4, but I don't see this improving from here, so Drink Now.
